Sheffield is located at the centre of Britain, only a few minutes away from the M1 motorway and with direct rail links to London and other major cities. Details on how to travel to Sheffield can be found here.
The Octagon Centre is Western Bank which can be found on this map. Conference registration will take place at the Octagon Centre. Tapton and Stephenson Halls can be found on this map to the west of the University Precinct area and labelled 12 and 16 respectively.
The best way to travel from Sheffield Railway Station to the Octagon Centre or the halls is by taxi (there are usually plenty of taxis available outside the station). Alternatively, you could take a tram from the station to the 'University of Sheffield' tram stop (10-15 minute ride). The Octagon Centre is a five minute walk from the stop.
If you are coming by car, there is ample parking at both halls; but please note that parking near the Octagon Centre is limited. Please park at your respective halls and fill in and display this parking permit on the windscreen of your car.
